Motability
At ODEL Mobility, we are accredited Motability Dealers, meaning that you can lease a scooter or powered wheelchair through the Motability Scheme if you are in receipt of one of the following allowances and have at least 12 months remaining on your award.
- Higher rate mobility component of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
- War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
- Enhanced rate mobility component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
- Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP).
Motability Scheme
The weekly payment is taken from your allowance and the remainder of your allowance is paid to you. You will be able to apply for a new mobility scooter or powered wheelchair every 3 years.
The Motability Scheme is a worry-free option, with the following benefits included in the scheme:
- Insurance
- Breakdown assistance and recovery
- Home delivery and collection
- Battery and tyre replacement
- Service, maintenance and repair
All the mobility scooters and powered wheelchairs that we sell are available on the Motability Scheme.
